NC-11 Democratic Candidates to Take Part in Public Forum in Clay County

Voters in North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District will have an opportunity to hear directly from Democratic candidates later this month during a public candidate forum in Clay County.

The NC-11 Democratic Candidate Forum is scheduled for Saturday, January 17, from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. at The Hinton Center, located at 2330 Hinton Center Road. The event is free and open to the public, offering residents a chance to learn more about the candidates and their positions on key issues facing the district.

Five Democratic candidates are expected to participate: Richard Hudspeth, Paul Maddox, Lee Whipple, Zelda Briarwood, and Jamie Ager. The forum will allow each candidate to introduce themselves, discuss their priorities, and respond to questions, giving voters a side-by-side look at those seeking the party’s nomination.

The event is being hosted by the Clay County NC Democrats in partnership with the Cherokee County Democratic Party. Organizers say the forum is intended to encourage civic engagement and provide voters with clear, accessible information as the election season continues.

Community members from across the region are encouraged to attend and take part in the discussion.
