North Hall Defeats Union County in Softball Showdown, 5-1

BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. — North Hall High School’s varsity softball team emerged victorious against Union County High School, securing a 5-1 win in a non-conference game on Wednesday, Sept. 3.


The game, held at Union County’s home field in Blairsville, remained scoreless through the first six innings, with both teams’ defenses holding strong. North Hall broke the deadlock in the seventh inning, erupting for five runs to take a commanding lead. Union County managed a single run in the bottom of the seventh but could not close the gap.


This loss marks another chapter in the competitive rivalry between the Gainesville-based North Hall and Blairsville’s Union County, with both teams showcasing defensive prowess before North Hall’s decisive seventh-inning rally.


Next up for the Lady Panthers is a road game against Murray County on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 5:30 p.m.
