BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. — The Union County Panthers suffered a decisive 35-0 defeat against the Rockmart Yellow Jackets on Friday night, struggling against a formidable defense. The loss dropped Union County's record to 1-3, while Rockmart improved to 3-1, extending their road winning streak to six games dating back to last season.
Despite the shutout, the Panthers faced a steep challenge, with MaxPreps ranking them 280th in Georgia high school football, compared to Rockmart's 66th ranking. Union County’s offense was unable to find its rhythm against the Yellow jackets’ airtight defense.
Looking ahead, the Panthers will face a familiar foe, North Murray, on Friday, Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
