Public Tips Lead to Search Warrant and Arrests in Culberson Community

On June 18, 2026, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office requested the public’s assistance in locating Tosha Eller, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant. Following that request, the Sheriff’s Office received credible information regarding her whereabouts. Based on the information received, detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division obtained a search warrant for a residence located at 166 Tipton Road in the Culberson community.
On June 19, 2026, detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division, assisted by agents from the Narcotics Division, executed the search warrant at the residence. As a result of the operation, three individuals were taken into custody on outstanding warrants. Cherokee County Emergency Management also assisted by providing drone support.
Arrested:
Tosha Savannah Eller, 34
• Warrant for Arrest – Felony Exposure of a Controlled Substance to a Child
Devin Julian Burrell, 35
• Warrant for Arrest – Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Larceny After Breaking and Entering, and Felony Possession of Stolen Goods
• Failure to Appear Warrant – Felony Breaking and Entering and Felony Larceny
Kaitlyn Teesateskie Elliot, 26
• Warrant for Arrest from Graham County, North Carolina, for Felony Possession of Fentanyl
Sheriff Chris Wood stated: “I would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating this individual and supporting our efforts to keep Cherokee County safe. The information provided by community members directly contributed to this successful operation, which resulted in the safe apprehension of three wanted individuals. We remain committed to working alongside our citizens to protect our communities and uphold the law.”
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
