River City Bank Donates $30,000 to Union County College & Career Academy

Union County High School is celebrating a major boost for its students and workforce development programs thanks to a generous $30,000 donation from River City Bank. The contribution was made to the Union County College & Career Academy through the Georgia PEACH Education Tax Credit initiative, a program that allows individuals and businesses to direct a portion of their state tax dollars to support local public education.

“This generous contribution is a powerful example of how local businesses can wisely allocate their tax dollars to support local students, workforce development, and CTAE programs right here in Union County,” school officials said. “By choosing to direct their tax credit locally, River City Bank is investing in the future of our students and our community, and we could not be more grateful for their support.”

The PEACH Education Tax Credit allows Georgia taxpayers to contribute to approved educational programs and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit on their state income tax return. Donors can designate their support to specific schools or academies—like the Union County College & Career Academy—to ensure their tax dollars stay within their community.
