Robbinsville Black Knights Sweep Hiwassee Dam Eagles in Varsity Volleyball

ROBBINSVILLE, N.C. — The Hiwassee Dam Lady Eagles volleyball team fell to the Robbinsville Lady Black Knights 3-0 on Tuesday, September 2, extending their losing streak to eight matches dating back to last season. The final set scores were 25-17, 25-22, and 25-22.

Despite the loss, Hiwassee Dam showed resilience, scoring at least 17 points in each set. The Eagles were unable to overcome their previous defeat to the Black Knights in September 2024. The loss dropped Hiwassee Dam’s record to 0-7.

Robbinsville, meanwhile, continued their strong performance at home, securing their sixth consecutive home victory dating back to last season. The win improved the Black Knights’ record to 7-1.

Both teams will hit the road for their next matches on Thursday, Sept. 4. Hiwassee Dam will face Cherokee at 6 p.m., while Robbinsville takes on Swain County at 6 p.m.
