Town of Murphy Hosts Free Summer Outdoor Movie Party at Konehete Veterans Park

Murphy, NC – The Town of Murphy is inviting families and residents to kick off the summer with a fun-filled evening at its inaugural Summer Outdoor Movie Party on Thursday, July 2 at Konehete Veterans Park.

The free community event will feature the animated hit Zootopia 2, with the movie scheduled to begin at 9:15 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as the festivities start at 5:00 p.m. with FREE bounce slides and bounce houses available until showtime.

Organizers are encouraging families to make a night of it by bringing lawn chairs, blankets, and pillows to “camp out” on the grass for the movie. Guests should also bring a bathing suit and a change of clothes, as the bounce attractions and warm summer evening may lead to some splashy fun.

The event is open to the public — anyone is welcome, whether on or off Facebook — and is completely free of charge. It is expected to run approximately six hours, offering a full evening of entertainment for children and adults alike.
