HIAWASSEE, Ga. — Towns County Schools achieved remarkable results in the 2024–2025 Georgia Milestones assessments, securing 16 first-place rankings within the Pioneer Regional Educational Service Agency (RESA) district and two statewide first-place rankings, school officials announced.
The district’s students demonstrated academic excellence across elementary, middle, and high school levels, with standout performances in 8th Grade Social Studies and 8th Grade English Language Arts, both ranking first in Georgia for Developing and Above proficiency levels among public school systems.
“Our students have once again demonstrated exceptional performance across all three schools,” said Superintendent Dr. Darren Berrong. “I am immensely proud of our students, teachers, and administrators for their dedication and outstanding achievements.”
