The Towns Union Master Gardener Association is inviting the community to participate in a special observance honoring children lost in the Holocaust and supporting children affected by humanitarian crises today.
The event, Remember the Children Observance Day, will take place Tuesday, March 10, at 3:30 p.m. at Lloyd’s Landing Park, 458 Azalia Drive.
Attendees will gather at the Daffodil Project Garden, where a short program will include a brief history of the Daffodil Project, the reading of a biography of a lost child, and a special prayer of remembrance. Participants will also have the opportunity to place markers in the garden containing a child’s biography. These markers will remain in place for 30 days.
The observance is held in remembrance of the 1.5 million children who perished in the Holocaust and in solidarity with children suffering in crises around the world.
The Towns Union Master Gardener Association encourages all community members to attend and join in this meaningful tribute.
