Union County Authorities Arrest Atlanta Man in Drug Bust

UNION COUNTY, Ga. — On July 29, 2025, Union County, along with Fannin County, continued an investigation that led to the arrest of an Atlanta man. Union County’s FBI Safe Streets Task Force Officer, along with GBI Task Force Officers, executed a search warrant in Buckhead, Georgia.

The early morning operation resulted in the arrest of Cornelius Andrews, also known as "Black." During the search, officers seized approximately 600 grams (1.3 pounds) of cocaine, 1,300 grams (2.9 pounds) of methamphetamine, 11 grams of heroin, 105 grams of MDMA (commonly known as Molly), 134 grams of marijuana, and cash.

Sheriff Shawn Dyer expressed pride in the strong working relationship between Union County, Fannin County, the FBI, GBI, and Atlanta Police Department in their continued efforts to stop the flow of narcotics into Northeast Georgia.
