Blairsville, Ga – The Union County Fire Department is proud to announce that Captain Jeff Fortenberry and Lieutenant Jonathan Fortenberry have successfully completed the rigorous 48-hour Fire Department Executive (Fire Officer IV) course, marking a significant milestone in their professional development and the department’s ongoing commitment to excellence.
The Fire Department Executive course equips chief fire officers with advanced skills essential for leadership roles within the fire service. The comprehensive curriculum covers critical areas such as human resource management, professional development, government and community relations, strategic planning, purchasing, training, risk management, and emergency scene operations. This training prepares officers to navigate the complex responsibilities of executive-level leadership in a modern fire department.
