Union County Fire Lieutenant Earns Prestigious Fire Officer I Certification

BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. — Lieutenant Cody Allen of the Union County Fire Department has earned his Fire Officer I certification after completing the Fire Department Supervision course at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center, officials announced Tuesday.
The course, the final component of a three-part officer development series, equips fire service leaders with skills to supervise personnel, manage emergency scenes, and handle administrative duties. The nationally recognized credential underscores Allen’s readiness to lead within the department.
“Lieutenant Allen has shown great dedication to his professional growth and to this department,” Fire Chief David Dyer said. “Completing this certification is an important milestone, and it demonstrates his commitment to leadership and serving the citizens of Union County.”
The Union County Fire Department continues to promote advanced training to enhance its personnel’s skills and strengthen community protection.
