Union County High School Appoints Mark Wade as New Varsity Soccer Coach

Union County, GA – Union County High School has named Mark Wade as the new head coach for its boys and girls varsity soccer programs, marking an exciting chapter for Panther soccer. The announcement, made via a recent social media post by the school, highlights Coach Wade’s extensive experience and impressive track record in high school soccer.


A graduate of the University of Georgia, Coach Wade brings 15 seasons of head coaching experience to Union County. His career boasts a remarkable 149–96–11 record, with his teams securing four region championships, three Elite 8 appearances, two Final 4 appearances, and a state finals berth. Wade’s coaching prowess has earned him numerous accolades, including Region Coach of the Year four times, Area Coach of the Year twice, and the 2021 Hall County Coach of the Year.


In addition to his coaching credentials, Wade teaches Manufacturing and Engineering at Union County High School. He resides with his wife, Mandy, and their three daughters, Molly, Mia, and Maribeth.


The Union County community is eager to see the impact of Coach Wade’s leadership on the Panther soccer programs. With his proven expertise and dedication, the school anticipates a bright future for both the boys and girls varsity teams.
