Union County Sheriff’s Office Assists with Night to Shine Event in Blairsville

The Union County Sheriff’s Office took part in this year’s Night to Shine celebration in Blairsville, helping welcome participants to an evening dedicated to individuals with special needs.
Sheriff Shawn Dyer provided a special law enforcement escort as guests arrived for the event, which featured a red-carpet-style entrance filled with cheers and applause. Deputies and attendees lined the entrance, celebrating each participant as they made their way into the dance.
In a statement, the Sheriff’s Office said the experience was a powerful reminder of the importance of community, noting the excitement, confidence and joy displayed by the participants throughout the evening.
Night to Shine is an annual event held in communities across the country to honor people with special needs, offering a prom-style experience made possible through volunteers, families and organizers.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office thanked everyone involved in coordinating the event and said its deputies were proud to support the community during moments that matter most.
