Union County Sheriff's Office Warns of New Scam Using Fraudulent Documents

Blairsville, GA — The Union County Sheriff's Office is urging residents to stay alert after receiving reports of a new scam variation targeting the local area with fake official-looking documents.

According to the Sheriff's Office, scammers are sending documents that falsely claim the recipient’s Social Security Number has been suspended, that criminal charges have been filed against them, or that they must immediately contact a government office to avoid arrest or other penalties.
