BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. — The Union County Sheriff’s Office has welcomed four new deputies after they completed required training and certification.

Deputies Logan Bryson, Lillian Leird and David Harris graduated April 24 from Basic Law Enforcement Training at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth. The program included more than three months of classroom instruction and practical training. After graduation, the three were assigned to the agency’s Field Training Program. They have since completed that phase and been released to their assigned shifts.

Bryson and Harris previously served as detention officers with the sheriff’s office since July 2025. Leird worked as a detention officer since December 2023.

The agency also welcomed Deputy Brayden Snow, who most recently worked for the Murphy, N.C., Police Department for the past couple of years. Snow completed Georgia equivalency training to become a certified peace officer in the state. He has experience in DUI enforcement and was recognized this year as Officer of the Year by the North Carolina division of Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Sheriff’s officials said they hope the new deputies’ service marks the start of long and rewarding careers with the agency.
