Union County Sweeps Fannin County in Volleyball Showdown

BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. — Union County High School's varsity volleyball team dominated Fannin County High School in a non-conference match on Tuesday, Sept. 2securing a decisive 3-0 victory at Fannin County's home court in Blue Ridge, Georgia.


The Panthers of Union County showcased their strength from the start, taking the first set 25-17. They maintained their momentum in the second set, overpowering the Fannin County Rebels 25-15. The third set saw a closer contest, but Union County sealed the sweep with a 25-20 win.


Union County's balanced attack and solid defense proved too much for Fannin County, which struggled to find its rhythm throughout the match. The Panthers now turn their attention to a road match against Dawson County on Thursday, Sept. 4.
