YH Women’s Soccer Ends in Draw with SWU

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Mountain Lions battled with the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan today at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field. Defense shined for both teams today, resulting in a 0-0 draw. Clara Williams recorded five saves in goal for the Mountain Lions and secured a shutout for YH. 


The Mountain Lions move to 3-3-1 overall on the year and are 2-1-1 in Conference Carolinas while the Warriors move to 0-4-1 overall and are 0-2-1 in Conference Carolinas. 


INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

  • Young Harris outshot SWU 16-5 with Scarlett Hirschy having 6 shots in the match. 

  • SWU recorded five shots on goal while the Mountain Lions had six, with Giselle Rosa and Scarlett Hirschy each recording two shots on goal. 

  • YH recorded five corner kicks in the match. 

  • Gracie Smith played all ninety minutes for the Young Harris defense. 

  • Clara Williams held it down in goal throughout the whole match and recorded five saves.
