Big Bear Veterinary Clinic Hosts Drive-Thru Vaccine Clinic in Clay County


Pet owners in Clay County and surrounding areas will have a convenient opportunity to vaccinate their dogs and cats on Saturday, April 11, 2026, thanks to a drive-thru vaccine clinic organized by Big Bear Veterinary Clinic in partnership with the Clay County Health Department.


The event is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Clay County Health Department, located at 345 Courthouse Drive, Hayesville, NC 28904. Presented by Dr. Lawlor and Dr. Flynn of Big Bear Veterinary Clinic, the clinic aims to make essential pet vaccinations and services more accessible through a no-fuss drive-thru format.

Services and pricing include:

  • Distemper/Parvo/Lepto (DHLPP) — $24

  • Distemper/Parvo (No Lepto) — $16

  • Bordetella Vaccine — $19

  • Canine Influenza Vaccine — $37

  • Canine Lyme Vaccine — $39

  • Feline Distemper (FVRCP) — $22

  • Feline Leukemia (FeLV) — $32

  • 4DX (Heartworm) Test — $32

  • Microchip (includes lifetime registration) — $35

  • Rabies Vaccine (1 year) — $14

  • Rabies Vaccine (3 year) — $20


Note: To be eligible for the 3-year rabies vaccine, pet owners must show proof of a current 1-year rabies vaccine.


The clinic offers a wide range of core and non-core vaccines for both canines and felines, along with heartworm testing and microchipping services. This drive-thru format allows pet owners to receive services quickly without leaving their vehicles, making it especially convenient for families with multiple pets or those with scheduling constraints.
