CCHAC’s 45th Annual Festival on the Square Returns to Hayesville July 10–12

HAYESVILLE, N.C. — The Clay County Historical & Arts Council (CCHAC) is gearing up to celebrate its 45th Annual Festival on the Square, a beloved community tradition that transforms the lawn of The Beal Center’s historic courthouse into a vibrant hub of music, art, food, and culture.
The free festival runs Friday, July 10 through Sunday, July 12, 2026, and promises something for everyone across three days of family-friendly entertainment.
Friday Night Street Dance
The weekend kicks off on Friday evening with a traditional Street Dance featuring the high-energy sounds of Quick Brown Fox. Attendees can also enjoy performances by the John C. Campbell Folk School Cloggers, along with live music from Wyatt Espalin, Rob Tiger, Colton James, Cornbread Ted, and The Skurvin Family Band.
Weekend Art, Music & Vendors
Saturday and Sunday will be filled with dozens of art vendors showcasing and selling their original creations. Festival-goers can browse unique handmade items while enjoying continuous live music from local musicians and savoring delicious food from area vendors.
“Come out and support history and arts in our community,” organizers encourage. “We sincerely appreciate you!”
