The Enotah Garden Club marked Arbor Day on Friday with a proclamation reading and educational program at Young Harris City Hall.

Members of the club gathered at City Hall to read the official Arbor Day Proclamation, highlighting the importance of trees to the community and the environment.

The program featured presentations from Grace Howard, a Towns-Union Master Gardener, and Lea Clark of the Georgia Forestry Commission. Howard spoke about The Daffodil Project, discussing its role in beautification and community involvement, while Clark focused on encouraging wildlife by planting trees and the long-term environmental benefits of responsible forestry.

The Arbor Day observance was organized by the Enotah Garden Club and held at Young Harris City Hall, reinforcing the club’s mission to promote conservation, education, and stewardship of natural resources throughout the area.
