Hayesville Lady Yellow Jackets Dominate Highlands in Volleyball Tripleheader

HAYESVILLE , N.C. — The Hayesville Middle and High School Lady Yellow Jackets swept Highlands High School in a trio of volleyball matches on Tuesday, August 12, with victories in middle school, junior varsity (JV), and varsity contests.

The middle school Lady Yellow Jackets started strong, defeating Highlands in two sets. They secured the first set 25-14 and clinched the match with a 25-21 win in the second set, finishing 2-0.

The JV team followed suit, overpowering Highlands with a 25-10 victory in the first set and a 25-20 win in the second, also completing a 2-0 sweep.

In the varsity match, Hayesville took control early, winning the first set 25-10 and the second 25-8. Highlands battled back to take the third set 26-24, but the Lady Yellow Jackets sealed the match with a 25-21 victory in the fourth set, earning a 3-1 win.

Hayesville will travel to face Smoky Mountain High School on Thursday, August 14, for their first road match of the season.
