ree

HIAWASSEE, Ga. — The Hiawassee Town Square Park will come alive with music on Saturday, August 23, as the western North Carolina band Sweet 'N Sourwood Honey performs a free concert from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. as part of the Enchanted Music on the Hiawassee Square series.

The band, known for its tight harmonies and solid instrumentals, will deliver an eclectic mix of original and cover songs spanning Americana, bluegrass, folk, country, rock, blues, and jazz. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs for a family-friendly evening of entertainment. Well-behaved pets are welcome, provided owners clean up after them.

Food will be available starting at 6:00 p.m. from the VFW Auxiliary Food Truck, offering grilled hot dogs and other items. While the concert is free, donations are appreciated to support the ongoing series, now in its 26th year.

The event is sponsored by the City of Hiawassee, Banister-Cooper Funeral Home, Barrett Insurance, Service Master Restoration, Hiawassee Package Store, and the Hiawassee Downtown Development Authority.

In case of rain at the time of the concert, the event will be canceled. For more information, contact the Hiawassee Downtown Development Authority.
