HAYESVILLE, N.C. — The Joe Average Band, a local ensemble known for its nostalgic rock and country performances, will headline a concert event organized by the Clay County Communities Revitalization Association on Saturday, starting at 6 p.m. The event will feature a vibrant mix of classic rock hits from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, alongside mainstream country tunes.

Formed in the early 2000s, the Joe Average Band took an extended hiatus before reuniting for a private event in 2022. The performance rekindled their passion, prompting the group to reform and bring their timeless playlist to local audiences. The band’s setlist promises a blend of memorable melodies designed to evoke nostalgia and entertain fans of all ages.

Food and beverage vendors, including Pic-A-Nick Basket, Hayesville Q, Sunny Sips, Laughing Dogs Brewing, Shooting Creek Vines, and the American Legion Auxiliary, will serve attendees starting at 6 p.m. Concertgoers can enjoy a variety of dining and refreshment options throughout the evening.

The event is supported by several sponsors, including Highway 69 Storage, Edward Jones Financial Advisor Jodi Sullivan, The Richard Kelley Group, Rotary Club of Lake Chatuge, Historic Hayesville, Inc., Clay County Historical and Arts Society, and the American Legion. Organizers expressed gratitude for their contributions to the concert series.

Shuttle services to and from parking areas will be provided by Historic Hayesville, Inc., ensuring convenient access for attendees. In case of inclement weather, schedule changes will be announced on the Clay County Communities Revitalization Association’s Facebook, Instagram, and website.
