Loaded Dice Band to Rock Hiawassee Square on July 4

HIAWASSEE, Ga. — The Enchanted Music on the Square concert series continues Saturday with a performance by the Loaded Dice Band.

The free concert is scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 4, at the Hiawassee Town Square, 19 S. Main St. Donations are appreciated.

The Loaded Dice Band, a classic country and classic rock group from North Georgia, has performed for three years, blending favorites from artists such as Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Linda Ronstadt and Fleetwood Mac.

Organizers describe the event as great family fun. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair. Well-behaved pets are welcome with proper cleanup.

The VFW Auxiliary food truck will be on site starting at 6 p.m., offering grilled hot dogs and other items.

The series, now in its 27th year, thanks its sponsors: Susan De Vries State Farm, McKinney Heating and Air, ServiceMaster Restore, WJUL 97.7 FM, Banister Cooper Funeral Home, Monte Alban Mexican Grill, Rotary Club of Lake Chatuge and Big Bear Wine & Spirits.

In the event of rain at concert time, the show will be canceled. Updates will be posted on the Hiawassee Downtown Development Authority Facebook page.
