Minor School Bus Accident Reported in Towns County; No Injuries

HIAWASSEE, Ga. — School officials in Towns County Schools say no students were injured after a minor accident involving two school buses Tuesday afternoon.

According to a statement released by the district, the incident occurred in town when one bus rear-ended another. The collision resulted in minimal damage, limited to an extended rearview mirror on one bus and a taillight on the other.

District officials emphasized that all students on board were safe and accounted for, with no injuries reported.

Parents of students who ride buses driven by Clark Helton and Patty Doche were advised to expect slight delays in afternoon drop-offs as a result of the accident.

School officials said student safety remains their top priority and thanked families for their patience and understanding.
