Six Clay County Teachers Achieve Prestigious National Board Certification


Clay County Schools is delighted to announce that six dedicated educators from Hayesville Elementary and Hayesville Primary Schools have successfully achieved the rigorous National Board Certification in Early Childhood Generalist. This advanced certification is a testament to their mastery of teaching practice and their profound commitment to student success.


The newly certified teachers are:

  • Mrs. Katie Danner, 3rd Grade Teacher at Hayesville Elementary School, a 10-year veteran educator who has taught for Clay County Schools since August 2021.

  • Mrs. Meghan Taylor, 2nd Grade Teacher at Hayesville Primary School, a 7-year veteran who has been with the district since August 2018.

  • Mrs. Tara Roberts, 1st Grade Teacher at Hayesville Primary School, a 6.5-year veteran teacher with Clay County Schools since January 2019.


  • Mrs. Adrianna Deaver, 2nd Grade Teacher at Hayesville Primary School, a 7-year veteran teacher who joined the district in August 2018.

  • Mrs. Susan Rexroad, 4th Grade Teacher at Hayesville Elementary School, began her career with Clay County Schools as a Teacher Assistant at Hayesville Elementary from 2005–2009. She pursued and earned her teaching degree, starting as a 1st Grade teacher in August 2009.

  • Mrs. Christy McClure, 3rd Grade Teacher at Hayesville Elementary School, is a 26.5-year veteran. She previously taught at Hayesville Elementary from 2004–2014, and after spending time teaching for Union County Schools, GA, and Cobb County Schools, GA, she happily returned to Clay County Schools in November 2021.


Clay County Schools extends its deepest congratulations to these six outstanding teachers for reaching the gold standard in professional teaching, further strengthening the quality of education provided to its students.
