Songwriters Showcase 58 set for Feb. 21 at The Peacock

Original music takes center stage later this month as Songwriters Showcase 58 returns to The Peacock on Friday, Feb. 21, 2026. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. and will feature an evening of original songwriting and intimate performances in one of the region’s most beloved listening-room venues.

The showcase is hosted and curated by Rob Tiger and is part of an ongoing local series highlighting accomplished songwriters and musical storytellers. Each artist is selected for strong lyrical craftsmanship and the ability to connect with audiences through original work.

Featured performers include Mike Kinnebrew and Nicholas Edward Williams.

Kinnebrew is known for soulful Southern folk rooted in everyday experiences and emotional honesty. Influenced by artists such as Tom Petty and Darrell Scott, his music pairs thoughtful lyrics with what has been described as a “gently demanding” vocal style. Whether performing solo or with a full band, Kinnebrew aims to create a close connection with listeners. He has shared the stage with artists including Oteil Burbridge, Kristian Bush and Drew Holcomb, earning praise from peers across the Americana and folk music scenes.

Williams is a multi-instrumentalist, storyteller and musicologist whose work focuses on preserving and reinterpreting traditional American music styles, including ragtime, Piedmont blues, old-time, early country and traditional folk. Over the past 15 years, he has toured extensively across the United States, the United Kingdom, Western Europe and Australia. Williams has opened for artists such as Taj Mahal, The Wood Brothers, Dom Flemons and John Paul White, and has performed at festivals on three continents.

Organizers say the Songwriters Showcase Series offers an intimate concert experience that blends personal storytelling with original music, set against the backdrop of the mountain region.

Tickets are available now, with pricing aimed at making the event accessible to a wide audience. More information about tickets and the venue is available through The Peacock.
