The Union County–Blairsville Chamber of Commerce announced the return of The Big Dance, an annual fundraiser set to take place at the HARP Center on the campus of Young Harris College.
The event will be held at the HARP Center at Young Harris College, bringing back a night of music, dancing and community celebration after a hiatus. Organizers say this year’s event will be larger than past editions, with an emphasis on both entertainment and philanthropy.
Proceeds from The Big Dance will benefit student scholarships for deserving students across a multi-county region, including Fannin, Gilmer, Rabun, Towns and Union counties in Georgia, as well as Cherokee and Clay counties in North Carolina.
The fundraiser is hosted in partnership with the Union County - Blairsville Chamber of Commerce, which promotes the event as an opportunity for residents to enjoy a formal social evening while directly supporting access to higher education.
Community members are encouraged to attend, invite friends and participate in what organizers describe as a night that “gives back in a big way.”
