As the holiday season approaches, Union County Family Connection is reminding parents and caregivers that Christmas assistance is available for children in need. Families who have not yet been contacted about this program are encouraged to reach out to the office at 706-835-4351.
To qualify for assistance, at least one child must be enrolled in and actively attending a Union County school, including Headstart and MECHS programs. Once this requirement is met, any other children of school age or younger in the household are also eligible. Additionally, the children must live in the home with the parent or caregiver applying for assistance.
Union County Family Connection notes that families whose children do not meet these requirements should still call the office, as they may be able to refer them to another agency that can help.
This program is part of Union County Family Connection’s ongoing efforts to support families in the community during the holiday season, ensuring that children can enjoy a joyful Christmas.
For more information or to apply for holiday assistance, parents and caregivers can contact Union County Family Connection at 706-835-4351.
