Union County High School Hosts Pathway Tour for Eighth Graders

Eighth-grade students from Union County Middle School recently got a preview of what awaits them at Union County High School during the school’s annual Pathway Tour.

The event gave students an opportunity to spend the day on the UCHS campus, where they were guided by student ambassadors through a variety of elective classrooms and laboratory spaces. The tours offered a first-hand look at the school’s academic pathways and hands-on learning opportunities available to incoming freshmen.

School officials said the experience was designed to help students better understand their options as they prepare to transition to high school and begin planning their course schedules for the coming year.

The process will continue next week with a Parent Night event, where students and their families will learn more about available electives and begin registration for the next school year.

Union County High School officials thanked teachers, student ambassadors, tour guides, and staff members who helped organize and host the event. Appreciation was also extended to the Union County Middle School administration and the Union County Schools Transportation Department for their support in making the tour possible.

School leaders described the Pathway Tour as another successful opportunity to showcase the programs and experiences offered at Union County High School.
