Union County Sheriff’s Office Recognizes Public Library for Scam Prevention Efforts

The Union County Sheriff’s Office has recognized the Union County Public Library for its ongoing partnership in helping educate residents about scams and fraud.

For the past several years, Sgt. Bob Calamari has presented a Scam and Fraud Awareness program aimed at helping people identify common scams and avoid becoming victims. The sheriff’s office said the library has played a vital role by providing space for the classes and supporting efforts to educate the community.

According to the sheriff’s office, the partnership has led to positive outcomes, particularly in helping protect elderly residents from significant financial losses.

Sheriff Mack Dyer and Sgt. Calamari recently presented Morgan Bilicki, representing the Union County Public Library, with a letter of recognition thanking the library for its contributions to the program and its role in helping keep the community safe from scams and fraud.

The sheriff’s office said it looks forward to continuing its work with the library in the years ahead.
