Union County Fire Department Honors Firefighters at Annual Awards Banquet



The Union County Fire Department recognized the service and achievements of its firefighters during its annual awards banquet held March 21.


Firefighters, both career and volunteer, gathered to celebrate another year of service while enjoying a meal and fellowship. The event highlighted the department’s accomplishments and honored individuals for their dedication to protecting the community.


Awards presented during the banquet included Firefighter I and Firefighter II certifications, Years of Service recognitions, and Recruit of the Year. Additional honors included Volunteer Firefighter of the Year, Officer of the Year, Career Firefighter of the Year, and Career Officer of the Year.


Several firefighters were also recognized with distinguished honors, including medals for Exceptional Duty, Commendation, and Distinguished Service. The department also presented its highest honors, including a Medal of Honor and a Purple Heart.


Officials congratulated all recipients for their commitment and service, noting the vital role firefighters play in ensuring public safety across Union County.
