Blairsville, GA – The Union County Sheriff's Office is inviting the community to come together this Thursday, June 25th, for a special Appreciation Dinner celebrating the dedicated service of our nation's military members, first responders, and public safety professionals.
The event, set for 6:00 PM at the Union County Civic Center (165 Wellborn St.), will honor active-duty military, veterans, active and retired law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, firefighters, and 911 dispatchers. Spouses and children are also welcome to attend.
According to event organizers, the evening will feature good food, fellowship, and an opportunity for these community heroes to connect and enjoy each other’s company. It serves as a heartfelt thank you to those who have committed their lives to serving their country and local communities.
"America is celebrating 250 years of being the greatest country on Earth," the announcement states. "Without your daily sacrifices, this celebration would not be happening. Your sacrifices do not go unnoticed, and we would like the opportunity to meet you and honor you for your dedicated service. Please come out and join us!"
This timely gathering offers residents a chance to show their gratitude to the men and women who protect and serve daily. Whether you’re a honoree or simply want to support those who keep our communities safe, all are encouraged to attend.
