Union County Urges Removal of Campaign Signs as Mowing Operations Continue

Blairsville, GA – Union County officials are thanking local election participants and reminding the public to clear remaining campaign signage from county road right-of-ways.
In a statement from the Union County Manager’s office, appreciation was extended to all individuals who contributed to the recent election campaigns. “Appreciation is extended to all individuals who contributed to the election campaigns,” the statement reads.
With county mowing crews now conducting daily operations, residents and campaign volunteers are asked to promptly remove any remaining signs placed along road right-of-ways.
Sign Retrieval Information Campaign signs that were removed by county crews are being held by the Union County Road Department. Anyone wishing to retrieve their signs should contact the Road Department as soon as possible. Signs currently in the department’s possession will be retained until July 13, 2026. After that date, any unclaimed signs will be disposed of at the Transfer Station.
