Lake Oconee Academy Tops Towns County in Softball Showdown

HIAWASSEE, Ga. — The Towns County Indians fell to the Lake Oconee Academy Titans 7-3 on Thursday, marking their third consecutive loss in high school softball action.

The Indians, now 1-4, struggled to keep pace, dropping their second straight game by a four-run margin. Meanwhile, the Titans snapped a four-game losing streak, improving their record to 3-7.

The game saw Lake Oconee Academy capitalize on key moments to secure the victory. Both teams now look to rebound with the support of their home crowds. Towns County will host Washington-Wilkes at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4 while Lake Oconee Academy faces Thomas Jefferson Academy at home on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
