Young Harris Residents Invited to Shape the City’s Future at Upcoming Comprehensive Plan Meetings

Young Harris residents have two opportunities this August to help guide the long-term vision for their community.

The Towns County Comprehensive Plan process includes dedicated public meetings for the City of Young Harris. Officials are inviting citizens to attend either session and share their thoughts on the future of the city.

Meeting details:

  • Wednesday, August 12 at noon

  • Monday, August 25 at 6:30 p.m.

Both meetings will be held in the Community Room at Young Harris City Hall.

The sessions are part of the broader Towns County Comprehensive Plan effort. Planners are seeking resident input on growth, infrastructure, quality of life, and other priorities that will help shape decisions for years to come.

Citizens who cannot attend or who want to provide feedback ahead of time can complete an online public survey. The survey is available at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TownsPlan26

Local officials encourage as many residents as possible to participate. Public comments gathered through the meetings and survey will help inform the final plan.

“Please attend either meeting to share your thoughts on the future of the City of Young Harris,” the official notice states.

For more information, residents can visit Young Harris City Hall or complete the survey online before the meetings.
